My parents garden – I loved it! My parents garden gave me a lot inspiration with its organized wilderness and especially paying attention to detail in terms of photography.
We had many flowers beds, a vegetable and herbs garden, a garden house in typical Swedish colours and a tree house when I was younger. I’ve many good memories and often think back how much I miss such a garden. My parents garden was nothing compared to the mainly small and fenced in gardens that I’ve seen in the UK and Netherlands over the last couple of years. I need some space and freedom.
I call it organized wilderness because my parents had many flowers and shrubs that were generally considered as weeds or were not particularly those plants that a landscape gardener would have planted or advised you to buy. However, all together it looked beautiful! I’ve taken hundreds of pictures, covering all seasons – there was always something new, the weather had changed or the light was different. I’ll post more pictures, maybe create a gallery.
The rose on the above picture was a climbing rose that was covering the wall next to the entrance door. My parents got it as a present when they moved in.
I’m lucky, I still got my parents but things have changed. I left home, they moved, life has carried on. I followed a path and continued photography and here I am. Have you similar memories? Is there something what you did as a child, when you were growing up and what you still do?
