Fifty Shades of Grey – I’m not talking about the book, I’m talking about Greenock and the amazing grey view that I had when I went there. No, there is no sarcasm when I say ‘amazing’, I actually like the picture! The picture was not edited and not taken in black or white. It is a picture in full colour and that is amazing!!!
I had a flight to Aberdeen the day before, worked there all day and drove to Greenock in the evening whilst it was dark. I didn’t see much on my journey and spent the night in the Premier Inn in Greenock – a typical business trip. After breakfast next day, I went out for a short walk before working the the day in Greenock and flying back home in the evening and that is when this picture was taken.
I’ve been to Endinburgh a few times but not anywhere else in Scotland. The stories of grey and rainy days never really got confirmed until I went to Greenock. Greenock will always stay in my memory as ‘Fifty Shades of Grey’… Funnily enough it was another Scotland trip when I bought the book and started reading it on the plane… I never finished it. Most people either love it or hate it, I simply got bored.
