Year End – 52/16

Yes, it is that time again… the end of another year has come. Christmas ist just over and the new year is waiting for us. I never really liked New Year’s Eve, all the celebrations, hope for a better year ahead and new year’s resolutions that most of the time don’t last very long. However, we are there and I know that for many people out there it is an important day and a day that they enjoy for their own reasons.

For me it’s time to look back but also time to look ahead with excitement to what life has planned for me next year. In terms of photography, this year has not been one of the best ones. Many other projects and activities have consumed my time and I haven’t been traveling much to get new material. Nevertheless, it has been a good year with many good memories and things that I’ve achieved just not for photography and developing my blog. No worries, I still have so many stories, pictures and journeys to share with you that I won’t run out anytime soon and I hope I will do better in the future.

The good things about photography and my blog though – those are the ones I want to remember – are that I’ve posted at least every week last year and that two of my pictures were accepted for a photo exhibition. Those things do make me proud and happy. I hope that you’ve enjoyed following me on my photographic journeys, that maybe I’ve made you smile with one of pictures or that maybe, I’ve brightened up your day with one of them. If not for you, they do it to me 🙂

Todays picture was taken in Portugal about six years ago. I went to the Algrave with my family to spent New Years Eve away from the cold, with just a little bit more sun. Back in the days I wasn’t as good in taking notes and naming pictures which is why I don’t remember the exact location anymore. I’ve chosen this pictures because it is focused on the open sea. Some might say it’s nothing but uncertainty, for me it is adventure and plenty of room for happy memories, opportunities and development. Adventure, happy memories, opportunities and development – a good way forward. The horizon is for you to discover.

...you will find a pot of gold. The truth is that none has ever found the end of the rainbow or the promised pot of gold. I haven't found them either but I have found many wonderful places during my travels in Europe. Come follow me and see the world with my eyes. Whenever I think I have found the most wonderful place, I know that I will continue to search, discover and travel. I know that I will find new places and that I will again think that they are the most wonderful places that I've ever seen. This a personal project where I want to share my travel experience, passion for photography and creativity with you.
