Tidal Art 21/15

Tidal Art

Sea, beaches and the tides have always been fascinating me. As long as I can remember I’ve always loved the sea. I enjoy going for a walk on the beach, go swimming, body boarding, windsurfing or just sitting down and watching the waves. It may sound crazy but I like the sound of the waves and the ever changing character of the sea. One day huge, loud and angry waves and the next day a quiet sea¬†and an almost mirror like surface.

Something that I have noticed during all my walks on the beach. Tide is an artist! When the water retreats it builds tidal creeks that are feed with tiny little becks. They look like minuscule meanders and they are all different. Some of them look like art work to me and yes it fascinates me. Keep an eye out next time you are on a sandy beach and the tide is low.

This picture was taken at a beach near Leiden (The Netherlands).

...you will find a pot of gold. The truth is that none has ever found the end of the rainbow or the promised pot of gold. I haven't found them either but I have found many wonderful places during my travels in Europe. Come follow me and see the world with my eyes. Whenever I think I have found the most wonderful place, I know that I will continue to search, discover and travel. I know that I will find new places and that I will again think that they are the most wonderful places that I've ever seen. This a personal project where I want to share my travel experience, passion for photography and creativity with you.
