I have good memories of Sweden. I think it is the country that I spent the most holidays of my life, closely followed by Portugal or vice versa. As far as I can remember, all holidays abroad until my 10th birthday or so I actually spent Sweden. Mostly during summer but also once or twice for Christmas. At some point my parents stopped going to Sweden with me and it was only in 2012 that I decided to go back to the country that I spent so many holidays and had so many fond memories of.
I spent a week in and around Stockholm. One day I decided to go for a walk, no real plan, maybe the Haga Park. The weather was nice and when I discovered a path along the Brunnsviken I thought I could follow it for a while. At that point I had no intention to walk around the whole lake but I did at the end. I was spoiled with amazing views and this is where this wonderful picture was taken. The path is close to the lake the whole time and passes the botanical garden as well as the Haga Park. Completely unprepared I managed a 11km walk around the lake. I think I walked about 20km in total that day. I don’t remember what I did the next day but I don’t think it was much. Well worth it though!
