One of the classic pictures – a seagull standing on a rock. Nothing special when you are close to the sea or walk on the beach and yet I like it.
I like the contrast between the bird and the dark sea, the reflections and the rings in the water. The picture was taken during an early evening walk along the coast line south of Thornham Marina.
It is a lovely walk, no matter whether the tide is in or out. Prinstead has a small car park from which a foot path goes south along the coast line (strictly speaking the Prinstead Channel), turning left is a foot path towards Nutbourne and Southbourne. Following the foot path leading south, you reach Thornham Marina and can continue towards Thorney Island where the foot path splits to either walk around Thorney Island or do a smaller circular walk back to Prinstead via Emsworth and Hermitage.
Which ever way you choose, there is a lot of nature, tranquillity and wonderful views, especially sun sets 🙂
