Cap the Cavalleria in the North of Minorca on a windy but sunny day a few years ago. A trip to Minorca in October.
The way to the cape leads away from the small settlements and the tarmac road gets smaller and smaller until it ends in a gravel track that finally leads to a lighthouse. The lighthouse is unfortunatley not accessible but still a nice view the top of the cape. The landscape at the cape is a bit scraggy – no trees, just some small shrubs, grass and rocks. Beauty in its own special way.
The picture was taken facing land inwards with the lighthouse and cape to the back. To the right you can see the coast that looks (and was) pretty rough. There are a few small sandy bays which look as they would be perfect for sunbathing and chilling on a less windy day.
